Harrachov is a well known mountain town in the Western part of Krkonose Mountains. It is located just under the 1020m-“Čertova” Devil’s Mountain in the Mumlava River Valley of the Northern part of Czech Republic. Originally, a German village “Dörf“founded in 17th century was renamed about the nobility family name “Harrachov” in 18th century. Jan Nepomuk František Harrach was the most noticeable individual who loved Krkonose and he has increased tourism, glass making industry and beer breweries. He also was a founder of skiing because he imported a first pair of skis to Czech Lands in 1892.
A well known silhouette of Harrachov are ski-jumping take-off ramps. The largest one is the Mammoth jumping take-off ramp that is between the 6 biggest ones in the World. Harrachov is also well known of international ski jumping competitions.

Winter
The Harrachov’s Ski resort offers a wide range of opportunities for ski lovers. There are 8.5 km of ski runs, 3 ski chairs, 5 ski lifts, 110 km of cross country trails, snow park, ski school for your children, night skiing, bobsleigh through the whole year and numerous of ski rentals. The winter ski season begins in December and it ends about at the end of April. A new service is an Aquapark bus service from Harrachov to Liberec called “Skiaquabus.” The trip is about 34 km one-way.
Summer (with Spring and Fall)
Excellent condition for mountain hiking with favored destinations to “Jizerske” Mountains, “Mumlavske” Rapids, or to hike the mountain ridges - the Springs of Elbe, more challenging hiking trail through the Western part of Krkonose: “Certuv”-Devil’s Hike to Elbe’s (“Labska”) Cottage with an option to they there over night. There are “Lubošské skaly” Lubos Rocks for climbers.
Summer sports
beach volleyball, bobsleigh run, fly park, four wheelers rides, golfing, minigolf, water rafting, tennis, nordic walking, horse riding, scooters, bungee jumping, mountain biking, large swimming pool/spa - Aquapark 34 km by a charter bus line, etc.
